Frequently Asked Questions

Dates and Locations

When and where is Gold Retreat?
The retreat will be held August 20–24 at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane, Washington, U.S. and at the St. Maries Lavender Farm in St. Maries, Idaho, U.S. Based on flight patterns, some Brand Partners may be approved for an early arrival on August 19.

Qualifications

What are the qualification requirements?
Any Brand Partner who, for the first time, has achieved the paid as rank of Gold for three consecutive months during the qualification period of May 1, 2023, to April 30, 2024, and who has not previously attended a Gold Retreat as a qualifier is invited to attend one time. This reward is offered to one person per account.

What if I was paid as Gold before but this is my first time achieving Gold three months in a row?
Though you have previously reached and been paid at the rank of Gold, you are invited to attend based on the first time you maintain Gold for three consecutive months. For example, Dawn was paid as a Gold for the first time in January 2023. However, her first time of being paid as a Gold for three consecutive months wasn’t until August, September, and October 2023. She would be invited to the 2024 Gold Retreat, regardless of being a Gold once before, even if it was prior to the current qualification period.

What if not all of my three consecutive qualifying months are within the qualification period?
The retreat you will be invited to attend will be based on the qualification period in which your third qualifying month falls. For example, Glen advanced to Gold in April 2023, then was a paid as a Gold again in May and June 2023. Because his third consecutive month of Gold falls within the 2024 qualification period, he is eligible for the 2024 Gold Retreat, even though his first consecutive month began in the previous qualification period.

If I qualify for Gold Retreat, what does that cover?
Young Living will cover the cost of the qualifying Brand Partner’s hotel accommodations, certain retreat meals, retreat gifts, retreat activities, ground transportation for retreat activities during the event, and their plane ticket. Incidental costs, such as meals during travel, additional airline baggage fees, etc., will be covered at the qualifier’s expense.

I can’t attend this year. What can I do?
If you qualify for a recognition retreat but are unable to attend, you may defer your qualification to the following year’s retreat for that same rank one time.

To request a deferral, please send an email to recognition@youngliving.com before the end of the subsequent qualification period with your name, Customer ID, rank, and reason for the deferral.

Qualifying Brand Partners may defer their recognition retreat only once per rank. If you defer, you will receive an email invitation to register for the next retreat after new qualifiers are determined.

If you have deferred your recognition retreat attendance after July 19, 2024, you may be required to pay a deferral fee to attend next year’s retreat.

Guests

What if I want to bring my co-applicant or another guest?

  • Only one Brand Partner per account may attend and be paid for by Young Living, but you may bring a co-applicant or business partner as your eligible guest.
  • Qualifiers may invite one eligible guest to attend for a fee of $600, which includes: hotel accommodations, certain retreat meals, retreat gifts, retreat activities, and ground transportation for retreat activities during the event. • Eligible guests must be at least 18 years old to attend.

Attendees are permitted to bring an infant within nursing age with the exception of the rafting activity. Attendees will pay any extra costs associated with bringing their infant.

Transportation

When should I arrive or depart?
Please plan to arrive in Spokane by 4 p.m. on Tuesday, August 20 and depart anytime on Saturday, August 24. If you have been approved for an early arrival, you may plan to arrive on Monday, August 19.

If you are approved for an early arrival on August 19, it will be listed in your flight stipend email. If you are booking with our travel agency, the agent will inform you if you have been approved for early arrival based on your flight pattern. Please note that if there are flight opportunities that allow you to arrive on the actual arrival day, but you choose another flight, you will not qualify for an early arrival, and will be responsible to pay for any additional hotel nights you may stay. Young Living will not cover additional expenses for early arrivals or late departures outside of these parameters. If you choose to extend your stay, Young Living will cover the flight cost if there is no increase in the fare due to the changed dates.

May I book my own flights?
You may choose to book your own flight and receive a flight stipend that will be reimbursed to you after the event has concluded. Flight stipend amounts will be based on your departure airport. The full stipend amount will be paid regardless of the cost of the flight booked, whether it is more or less than the stipend amount. We recommend booking your flights early to mitigate the risk of paying more than the stipend amount provided.

Your individual flight stipend amount will be emailed to you by Friday, May 31.

Please note that all flight stipend amounts include a pre-determined allowance for luggage fees. No additional reimbursements will be given for luggage expenses.

When will I get my flight stipend amount?
If you selected to book your own flights in the registration process, your flight stipend amount will be emailed to the email address with which you registered by Friday, May 31.

If you would like to change your selection to either book your own flights or book through a travel agency for Gold Retreat, please email us at travelrequests@youngliving.com no later than Friday, June 28.

Once your flights have been booked for you and your eligible guest, please click here to upload your flight itinerary, banking information, and receipts by Friday, July 12. This will ensure that we have accounted for your ground transportation needs to and from Spokane International Airport (GEG). If you choose to book your own flights and receive a flight stipend, Young Living will not reimburse you for any amount if you cancel your registration, regardless of the date your registration is cancelled.

What class are the flights? Can we upgrade?
All flights will be booked economy; any available upgrades are at your own expense.

Will ground transportation be provided if I’m arriving or departing outside of the event dates?
Ground transportation will not be provided outside of the arrival date of August 20, and departure date of August 24, with the exception of those who have been approved for an early arrival on August 19.

Can I drive to the retreat instead of fly?
Yes, you may drive to the retreat. You will receive a standard mileage rate reimbursement or the equivalent of a flight to/from the airport nearest you, whichever amount is less. To receive your reimbursement, you must submit gas receipts for proof of travel. Young Living does not cover the cost of tolls, parking, or additional driving-related expenses.

Can I share a room with a friend?
Each qualifier will receive their own hotel room. If you are bringing an eligible guest, you will be required to share a room with that guest.

At which hotel will I be staying? Do you have my hotel confirmation information?
Attendees will stay at the Davenport Grand Hotel in Spokane, Washington. Hotel room confirmation information will be emailed to you a few weeks before the retreat.
