Travel & Accommodations
Flights
When booking flights, please plan to arrive at Bandaranaike Colombo International Airport (CMB) any time on Tuesday, May 13 and depart any time on Sunday, May 18. Transportation to and from Colombo Airport and your hotel will be provided on the specified event arrival and departure dates only. Incidental costs during travel or transportation outside of the arrival and departure dates (May 13 and May 18) are the responsibility of the qualifier.
Please be aware that the shuttle from Colombo Airport (CMB) to your hotel will be about 2.5 hours. We understand that many of you will be travelling many hours and will likely be exhausted upon your arrival in Sri Lanka. However, we are hopeful that the beauty and benefits of staying in Weligama Bay area will make it worthwhile!
SELF-BOOKING
You may choose to book your own flight and receive a flight stipend that will be reimbursed to you after the event has concluded. Flight stipend amounts will be based on your departure airport. The full stipend amount will be paid regardless of the cost of the flight booked, whether it is more or less than the stipend amount. We recommend booking your flights early to mitigate the risk of paying more than the stipend amount provided.
Your individual flight stipend amount will be emailed to you by Friday, February 21.
Please note that all flight stipend amounts include a pre-determined allowance for luggage fees. No additional reimbursements will be given for luggage expenses.
Once your flights have been booked for you and your eligible guest, please click here to upload your flight itinerary, banking information, and receipts by Friday, April 11. This will ensure that we have accounted for your ground transportation needs to and from Bandaranaike Colombo International Airport (CMB). If you choose to book your own flights and receive a flight stipend, Young Living will not reimburse you for any amount if you cancel your registration, regardless of the date your registration is cancelled.
You must upload your itinerary, banking information and receipts for your flight stipend reimbursement to be processed and paid.
When you upload your flight itinerary and receipts, you will be asked in a secure section of the form to provide banking information. Flight stipends will be sent to members through Wire Transfers or ACH payments. You must enter your correct banking information to receive a reimbursement. Reimbursement amounts in foreign currencies are based on the conversion rates at the time of transfer. Payments are sent in USD, and the conversion is handled by the recipient's bank. (US/Canada members will have the option to request a physical check be mailed out rather than an online transfer. Physical checks are a much slower return).
After you officially check in at the event in May, Young Living will begin the reimbursement process. Reimbursements will be paid by June 27, 2025. If you have not received flight stipend reimbursement by June 27, 2025, please email us at travelrequests@youngliving.com.
AGENT-BOOKING
If you wish to have our travel agency coordinate travel arrangements for you and your eligible guest, please click “Yes” and fill out a flight request during registration. Within approximately two–four weeks following registration, an agent will contact you to coordinate your travel arrangements. Please respond to any correspondence within 24 hours to avoid increased fares or flights selling out. Please do not contact the agency directly prior to an agent reaching out to you regarding Diamond Retreat flights. If the agency will be booking any additional guest’s flights outside of your included guest, a credit card will be required at the time of booking. The travel agency is only able to book roundtrip flights from your home airport to Colombo Airport (CMB). If you wish to extend your stay outside of Sri Lanka or arrange any extended layovers, you will be required to receive a reimbursement stipend and book flights on your own.
Hotel
Attendees and their guests will stay at the Weligama Bay Marriott Resort & Spa during the event dates of May 13–18, 2025. Weligama Bay Marriott offers exceptional amenities and views that will make your Diamond Retreat experience truly unforgettable. Your hotel confirmation will be sent in April.
If you and/or your guest wish to extend your stay, you are welcome to take advantage of Young Living’s special room rate for three days prior to and three days after the event dates, pending availability. The room rates range from $222–$275 USD depending on your room type and occupancy. Outside of these dates, your room will be subject to prevailing rates. Any nights stayed outside the event dates of May 13–18 will be at your own expense and based on availability. Young Living will not cover additional expenses for early arrivals or late departures. If you choose to extend your stay and the travel agency is booking your flights, Young Living will cover the flight cost as long as there is no increase in the fare due to the changed dates.
Young Living will cover the cost of ground transportation, specified meals, a group activity, retreat gifts, and hotel accommodations during the event dates of May 13–18 only. If you arrive or depart outside of the designated arrival and departure dates, you will be responsible for your own ground transportation to and from the airport and hotel.
If you wish to extend your stay, please request to extend your stay during the registration process. Otherwise, please email travelrequests@youngliving.com with your desired dates by Friday, February 14. The Young Living Events team will submit the request on your behalf and inform you if it can be accommodated.
Additional Guests
We understand that some of you may wish to bring your children or family members as additional guests to Diamond Retreat. Please be aware that The Weligama Bay Marriott Hotel enforces a strict policy in regard to room occupancy. The maximum occupancy per room is 3 adults and 1 child (below the age of 12) or 2 adults and 2 children. Children ages 12 or above are considered adults. If you would like to book one extra room for your additional guests, you may request this in registration. Please be aware the additional room requests will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis and are not guaranteed until you have received confirmation from the Young Living Events Team. All costs associated with your additional room, including the mandatory dining supplement, will be at Brand Partners' expense. Children and additional guests are not included in any retreat events or activities, with the exception of farm day (as space allows).
Dining Supplement
We are happy to announce that your stay at Weligama Bay will include complimentary breakfast and dinner during the event dates. If you choose to bring additional guests, you will be charged a mandatory dining supplement for each additional guest, which includes breakfast and dinner for each night of the retreat. Children between the ages of 0–5 are free. Children ages 6–12 will be charged $100 USD for their stay ($20 USD per night). Adults 12 or older will be charged $190 USD for their stay ($38 USD per night). If you plan to bring children ages 6 or above or additional adult guests, this supplemental charge is mandatory, regardless of whether they plan to dine at the hotel or not. The dining supplement for additional children or guests will be collected at registration checkout. If you decide to bring additional guests after registration has closed, please email us at: travelrequests@youngliving.com
